GENERAL DESCRIPTION                   Argus series corn reapers
ARGUS series high-efficient 4, 6, 8, and 12-row corn reapers are designed for harvesting the corn of technical ripeness for food and forage purposes. Protective care of the crop is the main principle of ARGUS series reapers. The reapers, in tandem with self-propelled high-efficient grain harvester, show excellent results. The comfort controls allows to operate without problems, and special overload protection mechanisms provide the reliable operation.
-
Rational scheme of stem extension and grinding
The knife-rolls not only extend the stem, but also grind it preliminary by splitting it along the whole length. Therefore, the stem splitting is done uniformly along the whole its length. After the splitting, not the whole stems are left on the field, but split ones along the fibers, small parts with length less than 100mm, which are completely processed by soil within a season. The additional costs for soil processing by heavy disk harrows are reduced.
-
Drive mechanisms reliability
The machine has 2-sided drive operation scheme, consisting of cone-type gearboxes and a driveline. Such scheme is much reliable of the drive scheme consisting of chain drives used in analogues.
-
Power inputs saving
Small weight and wide nomenclature allow it to be aggregated even with light harvesters without additional weights installation. Power inputs are saved, and the harvester wheel pressure on soil is reduced.
