Agrarians of Trans-Dniester Are Switching over to High-Performance Machinery of Rostselmash

3 February 2017

Last year agrarians of the Trans-Dniester Moldavian Republic purchased a new harvester RSM 161 of Rostselmash for the first time; during this harvest season, already several harvesters of this type will be used in the fields of the region.

- The management of Zvyagintsevo farm already using the Russian ACROS machines is 100% satisfied with the purchase. The harvester’s performance is excellent. The machine’s work is quick, clean, high-quality, and reliable. One could say that the new machine of Rostselmash is a dream of any agrarian of Trans-Dniester. It is in full compliance with the modern requirements to the machinery to be used in our fields. So, we are planning to purchase some more harvesters of this type in 2017, — Business Director of Agromekhanizm, a dealership of Rostselmash in Trans-Dniester said.

Some other types of commercial machines manufactured by the Company are also in demand in the Trans-Dniester Moldavian Republic. As a result, Rostselmash share making up to 50% of the region’s market has remained stable over the recent years. And if only the new machinery segment shall be taken into account (without regard to the used machines), the Company’s position is approaching 100%.

In the incoming year, its position may become even more solid. Recently, within the framework of the program “One Day at Rostselmash”, the Russian enterprise was visited by a delegation of agricultural producers. Viktor Zabutyrin, a representative of the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources of the TMR visited the enterprise for the first time. The guests familiarised themselves with the manufacture and product range of the Company.

- I was impressed by the high technological effectiveness of manufacture and the Company’s attitude to its potential customers. I saw openness, willingness, and capability to solve all the arising issues. This is a good foundation for developing relations, — Viktor Zabutyrin said.

According to Viktor Zabutyrin, the attention of the Ministry to Rostselmash is connected with specific projects being currently implemented by the agrarian complex of the TMR.

- As early as in 2014, the Ministries of Agriculture of Russia and our Republic signed a Memorandum. Now it is being implemented in practice. We are beginning to develop melioration and enhance efficiency of agricultural production. This issue cannot be solved without mechanisation. So, one of our tasks is to examine the capabilities of Rostselmash manufacture. Besides, within the framework of the Memorandum, direct investment of the Russian Federation in the development of Trans-Dniester agriculture and concessional lending are expected. In this context, we are going to consider the issue of purchasing only Russian machinery, — the representative of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Trans-Dniester Moldavian Republic said.
